Heart to Art was started by Ashley Vargus,
an 18 year old high school senior. Ashley is a varsity
cheerleader, young life student leader, key club treasurer, and
artist.
Ashley formed Heart to Art in an attempt to give
back to those less fortunate than herself.
"Art is a gift. Not something I've earned. It
really
should be shared. I can't make sick children better, but if I
can touch one child through art, ease one bad day, or bring out one
smile, then all the hours of painting will be worth it.
I'm sure my art is not the best these children will ever see, but it
is free, heartfelt, cheerful, and provided with no strings attached.
I get back so much more than I give. I've learned about
courage, optimism, and bravery. These children are amazing and
I am thankful for the inspiration they have given me"
